No blogposts? Since the first one? Back in March?!
Who could've seen this coming?!
Okay, in all seriousness, I would've probably written something if were doing more these past few months, but alas! Now that it's all behind and I'm picking up the pace, I decided it would be fun to make these sorts of monthly art recaps with my favorites and comment of stuff happening. Maybe somethimes bimonthly, depending on how much there is to show. So here they are for July!
Cool! What else?
I've figured out how to populate the main page at last, and it should be rolling out with this post. At first I had more elaborate ideas on what to put there, but after months of sitting on them and recently catching some inspiration, it turns out all it really needed this whole time is a catchup! A few recent drawings, the latest blogpost and you're set on what's going on right now with my presence. All I gotta do is butt in often enough to actually update it with new stuff, should be easy.
Now for the "sitting on them" part. No fanarts page, no characters page, no nothing, what is going on?
I wasn't really thinking about it.
Was there a need to rush and put these out? Not really. This website was doing exactly what I needed it to do for me: exist, show my pictures and match my vision enough. And it did it pretty swell, I had a coworker ask me to show my drawings and there it was, a curated list right at my fingertips, and it made everything done that much worth it! (he even liked them heehee) So I let it do what it did, and just added to the gallery.
Now that I'm getting back into the groove of things, I felt like a second pass is needed on this place. The site is troubled at its very basis, it is the most noticable on mobile, and it might end up biting me in the ass later on. So I am doing exactly that before any more is added to it, all while picking up more "ispirations" on the way.
Oh, that Twitter post I've made just today? Don't worry about that yet. No matter what I'll go for this will help me out a lot. Then we'll see what more to add to this mess.
